## Interaktionen rahmen und steuern (S. 26 f.)
Der Notfallrucksack ist immer dabei, wenn die Kitagruppe in den Wald geht. Zum Glück – denn heute kommt er zum Einsatz: Nathan hat sich weh getan. Ein Ereignis, das die Kinder sichtlich fasziniert. Immer und immer wieder wollen sie hören, was geschehen ist. Geduldig berichtet die Kita-Mitarbeitende lebendig und anschaulich, was Nathan im Dornengestrüpp zugestossen ist. Nicht nur ein Mal. Auch ein zweites und ein drittes Mal erzählt sie das Erlebte. Ihr Blick wechselt zwischen den Kindern hin und her. Einwürfe greift sie auf und erweitert sie (Georgius: „Nathan runtergefallen.“ Fachperson: „Ja, und ist so mit den Händen in die Dornen gefallen.“). Einzelne Kinder bezieht sie aktiv ins Gespräch ein, indem sie diese direkt anspricht („Gell, du hast es auch gesehen, Georgius?“). So achtet sie darauf, dass sich alle Kinder wahrgenommen und willkommen fühlen. Georgius setzt sich zur Fachperson auf den Baumstamm und auch Moussa gesellt sich zur Gruppe und schmiegt sich vertrauensvoll an seine Bezugsperson. So haben alle Kinder einen sicheren Platz in der Gruppe. Und alle können am Geschehen teilhaben. Sei es durch konzentriertes Zuhören oder durch eigene Beiträge. Beides ist wichtig, um sprachlich weiterzukommen.

## Teilhabe und Kommunikation auch nichtsprachlich sicherstellen (S. 36)
Zu Hause sprechen die Kinder verschiedene Sprachen. Die Alltagssprache in der Kita ist Deutsch. Diese ist noch nicht allen gleich vertraut. Mit dem ganzen Körper untermalt die Fachperson ihren Bericht: Mit den Händen zeigt sie, wie Nathan in die Dornen gefallen ist, ihr Gesichtsausdruck spiegelt die Schmerzen, welche die Dornen im Finger verursachen können, und mit einer schnellen Armbewegung zeigt sie, wie sie mit den Kindern unter dem Asttunnel durchgekrochen ist. Beim Erlernen einer Zweitsprache kommt solch nichtsprachlichen Ausdrucksformen eine besondere Bedeutung zu. Sie helfen, die verbalen Aussagen zu verstehen und unterstützen den Lernprozess beim Erwerb einer neuen Sprache. Die Kita-Mitarbeitende ihrerseits vergewissert sich durch gezieltes Nachfragen, dass sie die Kinder richtig verstanden hat („Hast du blaue Nägel? Oder möchtest du gerne welche?“) und signalisiert ihr Interesse am Gesagten, indem sie Bezug darauf nimmt („Du magst Blau, gell?“). So fühlen sich die Kinder ermutigt, sich ins Gespräch einzubringen.

## Den Kindern Gestaltungsraum geben (S. 23)
Die Geschichte mit den Dornen im Finger erinnert Senia an die blau angemalten Fingernägel, die ihr so gefallen haben. Die Fachperson nimmt den Einwurf des Mädchens auf (Senia: „Nochmals blaue Nägelchen.“ Fachperson: „Hast du blaue Nägel?“), wechselt problemlos von der Rolle der Erzählerin zur Zuhörerin und übergibt die Gesprächsführung an Senia. Durch Nachfragen und passende Einwürfe motiviert sie das Mädchen dabei, über das Erlebte zu berichten. Gemeinsam bleiben die beiden beim Thema und entwickeln es weiter: von den real angemalten blauen Fingernägeln zu der Vorstellung, wie es wohl wäre, am ganzen Körper blau zu sein. Die Freude am Gespräch ist den beiden anzusehen! Und ganz nebenbei bietet die Unterhaltung Senia eine wertvolle Gelegenheit, ihre sprachlichen Fähigkeiten zu erproben und weiterzuentwickeln.


## Framing and steering interactions (p. 23)
The emergency backpack always comes along when the kindergarten group goes into the forest. Just as well: Nathan has hurt himself today. It’s an event which clearly fascinates the children. They want to hear what happened over and over again. The kindergarten employee patiently recounts in a lively and descriptive manner how Nathan fell into a thorn bush. And not just once. She tells them what happened a second and a third time. Her gaze moves back and forth between the children. She picks up on interjections and expands on them (Georgius: “Nathan fell down.“ Caregiver: “Yes, and he fell into the thorns with his hands like this.”). She actively draws individual children into the discussion by addressing them directly (“You also saw it, didn’t you, Georgius?“). In this way, she makes sure that all the children feel noticed and welcome. Georgius sits next to the caregiver on the tree stump and Moussa also joins the group and nestles trustingly into his carer. In this way, all the children have a safe place in the group. And all of them can take part in what happens, whether it is through concentrated listening or by making their own contributions. Both are important if a child is to make linguistic progress.

## Ensuring participation and communication also nonverbally (p. 29)
The children speak different languages at home. The ambient language in the kindergarten is German. Not all are equally familiar with it yet. The caregiver enhances her story with her whole body: She uses her hands to demonstrate how Nathan fell into the thorns, her facial expression reflects the pain that the thorns in his finger can cause, and with a rapid movement of her arm, she shows how she crawled under the tunnel of branches with the children. When you are learning a second language, such non-linguistic forms of expression are particularly important. They help to clarify verbal statements and support the learning process when acquiring a new language. For her part, the kindergarten employee ascertains whether she has understood the children correctly by asking targeted questions (“Do you have blue nails? Or would you like some?“) and signals her interest in what is said by referring to it (“You like blue, right?“). In this way, the children are encouraged to get involved in the discussion.

## Giving children space to express themselves (p. 20)
The story with the thorns reminds Senia of her beloved blue-coloured fingernails. The caregiver picks up on the little girl’s interjection (Senia: “Blue nails again.” Caregiver: “Do you have blue nails?”), switches smoothly from the role of storyteller to listener and hands over the lead role in the discussion to Senia. By asking questions and making suitable interjections, she motivates the little girl to report on what she has experienced. Together the two remain on topic and develop it further: from real blue-painted fingernails to what it would be like to have your whole body painted blue. It is clear that they are both enjoying the discussion! And entirely incidentally, the discussion gives Senia a valuable opportunity to test and develop her linguistic skills.


## Encadrer et diriger les interactions (p. 26 et suivantes)
Lorsque le groupe de la crèche part en forêt, il emporte toujours la trousse de secours. Heureusement, car aujourd’hui, il en a besoin : Nathan s’est fait mal. Cet événement semble fasciner les enfants. Ils veulent entendre ce qui s’est passé encore et encore. L’éducatrice de la crèche raconte patiemment et de manière imagée ce qui est arrivé à Nathan dans les ronces, et ce, plus d’une fois. Elle raconte son histoire une deuxième, puis une troisième fois, en regardant chaque enfant tour à tour. Lorsque l’un d’entre eux fait un commentaire, elle le reprend et ajoute des détails (Georgius : « Nathan tombé. » ; l’éducatrice : « Oui, il est tombé comme ça dans les ronces. »). Elle fait participer les enfants à la conversation en s’adressant directement à eux (« Tu l’as aussi vu, pas vrai Georgius ? »). Elle veille à ce que tous les enfants se sentent acceptés et bienvenus. Georgius s’assoit sur le tronc d’arbre à côté de l’éducatrice et Moussa rejoint également le groupe et se blottit tout en confiance contre l’éducatrice. Ainsi, chaque enfant a sa place dans le groupe. Tous peuvent participer à ce qui se passe, soit en écoutant attentivement ou en apportant leur propre contribution. Les deux sont importants pour faire des progrès linguistiques.

## Assurer la communication et la participation non verbales (p. 36)
À la maison, les enfants parlent différentes langues. La langue parlée à la crèche est l’allemand, mais certains la maîtrisent mieux que d’autres. L’éducatrice souligne son histoire en utilisant tout son corps : elle montre avec ses mains comment Nathan est tombé dans les ronces, l’expression de son visage mime la douleur que peuvent provoquer les ronces sur les doigts, et un mouvement rapide de son bras montre comment elle s'est faufilée avec les enfants à travers le tunnel de branches. Lors de l’apprentissage d’une deuxième langue, ces formes d’expression non verbales sont particulièrement importantes. Elles aident à mieux comprendre les affirmations verbales et soutiennent le processus d’apprentissage d’une nouvelle langue. En posant des questions ciblées, l’éducatrice de la crèche s’assure que les enfants ont bien compris (« Tu as les ongles bleus ? Ou tu les aimerais bleus ? ») et signale son intérêt pour ce que les enfants disent en prenant position (« Tu aimes le bleu, pas vrai ? »). Elle les encourage ainsi à participer à la conversation.

## Donner aux enfants l’espace nécessaire pour créer (p. 23)
L’histoire des ronces enfoncées dans les doigts rappelle à Senia les ongles vernis en bleu qui lui plaisent tant. L’éducatrice reprend la remarque de la petite fille (Senia : « Encore ongles bleus. » ; éducatrice : « Tu as les ongles bleus ? »), et alterne sans problème entre le rôle de conteuse et celui d’auditrice, laissant Senia prendre le contrôle de la conversation. En posant des questions et en faisant des commentaires appropriés, elle encourage la petite fille à raconter ce qu’elle a vécu. Les deux poursuivent sur le même thème et le développent : en passant des ongles vernis en bleu à l’idée d’avoir le corps entier peint en bleu. Il est évident que les deux prennent beaucoup de plaisir à discuter ! En outre, Senia profite d’une occasion unique de tester et améliorer ses capacités linguistiques.


## Inquadrare e guidare le interazioni (pag. 26 segg.)
Lo zaino con il kit d’emergenza è sempre a portata di mano quando il gruppo dell’asilo nido va nel bosco. Per fortuna, perché oggi è stato proprio utile: Nathan si è fatto male. Un avvenimento che affascina visibilmente gli altri bambini, che vogliono ascoltare e riascoltare il racconto di quello che è successo. Con pazienza l’educatrice racconta in modo vivace e chiaro che cosa è successo a Nathan nell’intrico di spine. Non solo una volta. Racconta l’accaduto anche una seconda e una terza volta. Il suo sguardo si sposta da un bambino all’altro. Riprende le osservazioni dei piccoli e le amplia (Georgius: “Nathan è caduto.” Educatrice: “Sì, ed è caduto così con le mani nelle spine.”). Coinvolge attivamente i singoli bambini nella conversazione rivolgendosi loro direttamente (“Eh, l’hai visto anche tu, Georgius?”). Fa così in modo che tutti i bambini si sentano considerati e benaccetti. Georgius si siede sul tronco d’albero accanto all’educatrice e anche Moussa si unisce al gruppo e si stringe con fiducia alla sua persona di riferimento. In questo modo tutti i bambini hanno un posto sicuro nel gruppo. E tutti possono partecipare al racconto dell'accaduto. Sia ascoltando attentamente sia dando il proprio contributo. Entrambe le attività sono importanti modi per progredire a livello linguistico.

## Garantire la partecipazione e la comunicazione anche non verbale (pag. 36)
A casa i bambini parlano lingue diverse. Al nido si parla in tedesco, ma non tutti hanno la stessa familiarità con questa lingua. L’educatrice accompagna il suo racconto con tutto il corpo: con le mani mostra come Nathan è caduto sulle spine, con il viso simula l'espressione di dolore che le spine possono causare quando si infilano nelle dita e con un rapido movimento delle braccia mostra come lei e i bambini hanno attraversato il tunnel di rami. Quando si impara una seconda lingua queste forme espressive non verbali acquisiscono un significato particolare perché aiutano a comprendere le espressioni verbali e supportano il processo di apprendimento di una nuova lingua. Con domande mirate l’educatrice si assicura a sua volta di aver capito bene quello che le dicono i bambini (“Hai le unghie blu? O le vorresti avere?“) ed esprime il proprio interesse rispetto a ciò che i bimbi dicono facendo dei riferimenti (“Ti piace il blu, eh?”). In questo modo i bambini si sentono incoraggiati a ipartecipare attivamente alla conversazione.

## Concedere ai bambini libertà di espressione (pag. 23)
La storia delle spine nelle dita ricorda a Senia lo smalto blu sulle unghie che le è piaciuto così tanto. L’educatrice accoglie l’osservazione della bambina (Senia: “Ancora unghiette blu.” Educatrice: “Hai le unghie blu?”), passa senza problemi dal ruolo di narratrice a quello di ascoltatrice e lascia a Senia la gestione della conversazione. Mediante domande e osservazioni adeguate motiva la bambina a raccontare. Entrambe restano concentrate sul tema e lo sviluppano ulteriormente: dalle unghie con lo smalto blu reali all’idea di quanto sarebbe bello avere tutto il corpo blu. Entrambe sono molto divertite da questa conversazione! E per di più questa chiacchierata è per Senia una preziosa occasione per mettere alla prova e sviluppare le proprie capacità linguistiche.
